Last year I was a pumpkin carving fool, yes I was. I know of at least 9 pumpkins that I carved last year, but I thought that I carved more than that. I had a lot of pumpkins...and I had the tools to crate something special on each on of my orange gourd. But what I needed was some cool stencils.
I searched and I searched for something good. But I didn't find anything. All I could find was the same little patterns that you can find in the little books at Wal-Mart. And everybody has those. Sure, they look pretty cool, but when you see one on every porch, it losses is coolness. You can look at a pumpkin that has been carved using a kit in one of those books...say...a headless horseman. And when you see it, you don't think "Oh cool, it's the headless horseman!" You think "Oh, I saw that pattern in the book I have at home."
I didn't want that reaction. I wanted an awesome pumpkin, and one like very few, if any people would have seen before. Not I am not creative enough to design these patterns myself, but I am smart enough to buy them from someone who is that creative.
I found the patterns that I was looking for, and I found them at ZombiePumpkins.com.
If you haven't been to this website, you are missing out. His patterns are incredible, and look even better once you put them on your pumpkin. You can only have access to these patterns if you are willing to donate to his website. And a donation can be as little as $2. But, if you only give the guy $2, you are robbing him. You pay more than that for the dinky crap at the local mart.
Check out some of my favorite patterns below, and check out his website..
